New Search Connectors Available for SharePoint 2010
One of my most popular posts on this blog is the search connector files that I wrote in 2008 for MOSS 2007. It includes a range of search connectors from Twitter, Google and others, you can check it out here.
By Microsoft has recently released a whole range more for SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint 2007 which can now be downloaded from here.
If you have any trouble installing them the instructions can be found at this technet article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee806926.aspx
But they still don’t have a Google connector, go figure, so you can always use the one that I created. Get it here!

I need the Google Search connector for SharePoint 2010, so has it been tested on SharePoint 2010? as I understand the connector file format in SharePoint 2010 is .OSDX.
Hey Sheila,
The FLD format still works in SharePoint 2010
Thanks Michal, this really helps me a lot.
Does the .osdx format work in SP2010? I’m trying to get a search location created in SP2010 for our internal search engine but no luck so far. We have integrate the Windows Explorer search with our search engine through an OpenSearch API and an .osdx file. However I can’t get the .fld working with SP2010. The location gets created but I get no results. However other .fld files seem to work just fine for me in SP2010. Any ideas?
