The list cannot be displayed in Datasheet view for one or more of the following reasons error
With more and more people running 64 bit version of Office I am starting to see more and more clients running into this issue.
Put simply this occurs if you try to view any list in Datasheet view. If you try to do this then you will get the following error:
So why does this happen? Well put simply the Datasheet view uses an ActiveX control which is installed by Office. However the ActiveX control is not compatible with the 64 bit version of Office.
The easiest way to get around this is to install the 2007 Office System Driver: Data Connectivity Components and then install it on your machine with Office 64-bit.
Now if this doesn’t work (and for some it doesn’t) then try downloading the Access Database Engine and see if that helps!
You will then be good to go and can datasheet view away to your hearts desire!
